‘The line between life or death is determined by what we are willing to do’ stated by a man who cheated death, Edward Michael Grylls better known as Bear Grylls. He was well known for his show called ‘Man vs. Wild’. He was a former SAS serviceman. While he was 22, he used to jump from the aircraft with his parachute. One day while he jumped from the aircraft, flying over 16,000 ft. from the sea level, unfortunately, the canopy of his parachute got ripped off at that height. As a result, he came rapidly towards the land and dashed onto the desert violently. This fall broke three vertebrates in his back. His doctors told him that he isn't able to sit even on an armchair; he must be lying down on his bed for his whole life. But Bear Grylls had a dream to climb Mt. Everest, even after the accident he did not lose his hope and continued to dream about climbing Mt. Everest. After one year on his 23rd age, he climbed Mt. Everest and also Ama Dablam in Nepal and this made him the youngest Briton to climb the Ama Dablam. Afterwards, he climbed many mountains and did many adventures. He holds the world record for hosting the world’s highest dinner party in a hot air balloon, flying over 25,000 ft. from the sea level. ‘Impossible is possible because it says I’m possible’, this quote suits Bear Grylls. He breaks all his obstacles and inspires everyone with his shortcomings. His reality show ‘Man vs. Wild’ is one of the most popular shows in the world. It is viewed in around 180 countries of the world. In this show, he did trekking with Barack Obama, Narendra Modi and Roger Federer and also with many celebrities. Bear Grylls has also written many books and many of them are best sellers. ‘Mud, Sweat and Tears, How to stay alive: The ultimate survival guide for any situation’ is his autobiography and it covers many interesting topics like motivation, survival techniques and much more. ‘Facing up’ his first book became the top 10 best selling books in Britain.
Success doesn’t come overnight. To be successful, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve, to be better and to get a little bit closer to your goals. Choose only one idea, focus on it; think day and night about that. The best part is the more you accomplish, the more you will want to do and the higher you will want to reach. So have the hunger for success, then you will have the power within you to achieve. The people belong to three categories in this world:
1. Who has talent- every one of us
2. Who knows that they have talent- some of us
3. Who use their talent- only a few
As Lord Buddha said, “everyone is gifted here but some of us have never opened their package”. In this world, everyone was blessed with talent. Not everyone has the same talent but everyone has some talent. It may be writing, speaking, designing, painting or singing. It could be anything but most of us simply ignore our talent because it seems like an ordinary thing to us. Sometimes your parents or relatives or friends may criticize you for wasting your time. Don’t get diverted by hearing their words follow your heart and focus on your goals. Once you find your talents don’t sit idle. Talent won’t work if you don’t. Don’t hold your talent waiting for the perfect time or opportunity. Trust yourself that you have enough potential to do anything. It makes you feel worthy of what you want. The more you think positively you will attract good ideas, good people and good opportunities to help you. Sometimes you may fall but don’t think negative about that incident. When your thoughts turn negative your life heads towards what you don’t want. Thinking about failing doesn’t help you to succeed, when Bear Grylls was severely injured, he doesn’t think negatively. He thinks positively that he can climb Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam. Think of yourself as capable. Think of yourself as powerful. Think of yourself as you are worthy. Your thoughts will decide your life. Don’t worry about the past bad things, pay very close attention to your present moment. When you are filled up with positive energy your mind is ready to receive the good ideas that will lead you to those actions that will produce the results you want. Start living!
